100% reduction in enrollment of students in special educational institutions across Punjab including Lahore.
According to details, enrollment of students in special educational institutions across Punjab, including Lahore, has declined by 100 percent. The number of children in 303 special institutions across Punjab has come down from 36,000 to 32,000.
The number of children in Lahore’s educational institutions has also come down from 6,000 to 48. The Special Education Department has a total of 20 educational institutions in Lahore. Education experts say that the number could be increased if the officers pay attention to special educational institutions He said that the departmental policy along with education has been sent to the cabinet committee for approval and after the cabinet committee, the departmental policy will be implemented.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar has taken a big decision regarding giving jobs to blind people due to continuous protests. In this regard, the Chief Minister has given permission to recruit 2,121 more posts in government departments. The Punjab Chief Minister has also approved to regularize 326 contract workers.
It may be recalled that blind people were deprived of jobs despite having quota in jobs, which led to protests. Taking action, the Chief Minister has ordered to give jobs to the blind.
