362 Pakistani prisoners in Indian jails, 62 civilians could not be released even after serving their sentences:

ISLAMABAD: A list of prisoners has been exchanged between Pakistan and India. There are 362 Pakistani prisoners in Indian custody out of which 62 prisoners have completed their sentences and Pakistan has demanded the release of these 62 prisoners.

According to News, the list of prisoners has been exchanged between Pakistan and India, after which the number of citizens imprisoned in the jails of the two countries has come to light.

The Foreign Office spokesman said that there are 324 Indian prisoners in Pakistan’s custody, including 270 fishermen and 54 civilian Indian prisoners, while there are 362 Pakistani prisoners in Indian jails, including 265 civilians and 97 fishermen.

According to the spokesperson, 15 civilians and 47 Pakistani fishermen have completed their sentences in Indian jails. Pakistan demands immediate release of these prisoners. He added that Pakistan has also demanded consular access for its 77 civilians and 113 fishermen.
