Air operations in the country partially restored, the first flight departed from Karachi
About a month and a half later, due to a lockdown in the country caused by the corona virus air operations were now partially resumed.
PIA and private airlines have started domestic operations from today in which flights are being operated in Lahore, Islamabad, Karachi, Quetta and Peshawar.
According to the PIA spokesperson, after partial restoration, the first flight PK8304 left Karachi for Lahore with 84 passengers while a private airline flight left for Islamabad.
The spokesman said that all PIA planes were being completely disinfected before the flight.
The spokesman said that when the passengers reached the airport, their temperature was first checked and social distance was being taken into consideration while entering the airport.
According to the spokesperson, passengers will also be given a seat inside the plane while the airline will be obliged to provide masks and hand gloves to the passengers.
In addition, it is mandatory to obtain a certificate from Civil Aviation after spraying on the aircraft before departure of the flight. Domestic departure and arrival perfumes will be sprayed at 5 specific airports.
Airport staff and passengers will not be able to go beyond the parking areas and all protocols have been abolished while the crew will have to wear protective clothing, N95 masks and surgical gloves, and passengers will not be provided food on the flight. ۔

Extension of closure of international air operations
Civil Aviation, on the other hand, extended the suspension of international flights until May 30, but announced the repatriation of 7,000 Pakistanis abroad before Eid, under which 12 flights from the United States would repatriate passengers, while Wuhan and China. The flight to pick up the stranded students will depart on May 18.
In addition, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Zulfi Bukhari met the parents of students stranded in China and said that the government would provide discounted air tickets for the repatriation of these students. On May 18, 300 students would be repatriated from China.
