KARACHI: Renowned researcher of Sira-e-Nabi in Pakistan and India Dr. Yaseen Mazhar Siddiqui has passed away at the age of 86 in India.

The well-known biographer passed away on Tuesday in Aligarh where his funeral prayers were offered after Isha. He is survived by a widow, two daughters, three sons and hundreds of his disciples.

He completed his PhD in 1975. In 1983, he became Reader Associate in the Department of Islamic Studies and in 1991, Professor.
