The meeting recommended early extension of winter vacations in educational institutions, ban on public gatherings and early closure of markets, while immediate closure of cinemas and theaters.
The NCOC has issued revised guidelines for wedding ceremonies, which will allow up to 500 guests to attend outdoor wedding ceremonies. The wedding guidelines will be effective from November 20.
Meanwhile, the Punjab government agreed not to close the marriage halls. The Punjab government formulated recommendations regarding non-closure of the halls and sent them to the federation for approval.
