Balochistan government decides not to open public transport currently.

The Balochistan government once again expressed concerns over the opening of public transport and rail transport and decided not to open public transport in the province currently.

A high level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan in which issues related to corona virus and the need for corona virus medical equipment in hospitals were also reviewed.

Briefing the meeting on the overall situation, the Balochistan Command and Operations Center said that the local spread of cornvirus in the province is 94% and 6% due to outsiders.

Expressing concerns over the opening of road transport and rail transport in the meeting, it was said that opening of transport without SOPs could spread the corona virus to the villages. Therefore, people of Quetta should not go out of the city and those from outside should not come to Quetta because the effects of the virus are more in Quetta.

It was decided at the meeting that there would be a complete ban on Eid fairs while the rush would be reduced by increasing the number of Eid venues.

The meeting reviewed the wheat procurement process and decided that full action would be taken against the wheat stockists.
