Board exams canceled in Sindh too, students will be promoted:
KARACHI: The Sindh government has also decided to cancel board exams in view of the corona virus situation.
Talking to Media in this regard, Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that the board has decided to cancel the examinations after which there will be no matriculation and intermediate papers in Sindh and students will be promoted.
He said that the decision of not taking the exams has been taken by the Education Steering Committee of the Sindh government. And the final decision has been made to promote the children in the next class but the law will be changed to promote the students in the next class as under the existing law of the Board of Examiners students cannot be promoted without examination.
The Sindh Education Minister said that the percentage of students would be changed so that they would not have any problem in getting admission in the next class.
It should be noted that earlier in Sindh, it was decided to promote only first to eighth class students.
The Sindh Education Minister said that schools cannot be kept closed, children’s education has to be taken care of, that is why they are going to announce online education system in a few days.
So, it is very clear from the talk of the Education Minister that the Sindh government has also taken the final decision to allow the children to pass the exams without examination. The good news for all the students of Sindh is that the government of Sindh has not only announced the cancellation of Matriculation and Intermediate examinations, but is also giving extra marks to the students as compared to the performance in the previous class. Will find it easier to get admissions in colleges or universities.
