Consciousness of Punjab Welfare Board staff reveals corruption
Progress in 50 million irregularities inquiry against Punjab Workers Welfare Board and private colleges. The case went from ghost colleges to 200% more fee charges and fake transport.
According to the Workers Welfare Board sources, private colleges continue to charge Rs 50,000 from private students and up to Rs 1.5 lakh from the children of factory workers, which has never been verified. Only Saturday and Sunday classes are offered two days a week.
For the last 5 years, the workers’ welfare board has been conducting direct dealings with the college mafia factory employees with the connivance of the staff. The purpose was to hide the original fee challan form from the children of the factory employees.
According to Rai, several students left the program before completing their degree, but with the connivance of the Welfare Board staff, the colleges continued to pay fees. Department of Labor has prepared a comprehensive report on the loss of crores to the national exchequer, the case should be submitted to the Secretary Labor.
