The Special Assistant to PM Imran Khan share her views, the relief from Government will help to some extent in such situation. Furthermore, Ehsaas Programme Team is working to start a SMS service of 8171. By using this service of SMS portal anyone can provide details from their home. When SMS service of 8171 launched from Govt of Pakistan under Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program?
Our beloved Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan formally said on dated April 02, 2020, Govt is going to start a relief package which should be distributed strictly on merit base. He further said, we’ve decided to launch a SMS service of 8171 under the Programme of Ehsaas Emergency Cash. His Special Assistant to this Ehsaas Programme briefed earlier about the 8171 SMS service. They said a sum of twelve (12) thousand will transfer to each family if they’re deserving to Emergency Cash Program.
Moreover, she said deserving people can send their CNIC (ID Card number) to 8171 and applicant will be inform immediately about his/her eligibility for emergency cash.

Special Assistant to PM Dr. Sania Nishter said on dated April, 03 2020 (Friday), Federal Government of Pakistan will provide the amount of Rs.12,000 each to twelve (12) million needy families under Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program 2020. 2. You’ll receive a notified SMS (reply) from 8171 about your eligibility of this Ehsaas Cash Program.

4. There is no charges to send ID Card Number SMS t0 8171 (Free from PTA).
5. Applicant can send his/her CNIC to 8171 from any sim number.

The following brief steps is showing the Ehsaas SMS campaign identify eligible individuals as given below:
Step 1:
Applicant have to Send CNIC number 8171.
Step 2:
If Applicant CNIC valid by database then you automatically forward to next step by the system. If don’t then you’ll receive a message which look like, “Your CNIC number is not eligible for the the Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program”.
Step 3:
Applicant is blocked because of sanity profiling, he/she will be intimated through SMS from 8171. If don’t, applicant will be move on by database system.
Step 4:
Applicant or his/her life partner doing job in Government/Semi-Government Department, he/she not eligible to this Ehsaas Program Scheme. They’ll also get a message after sending their ID Card Number to 8171 that you’re not eligible to Ehsaas Emergency Program.
Step 5/6:
Applicant send his/her CNIC to 8171, after this activity if he/she is already existing in the huge database system of National Socio-Economic Registry (NSER) and eligible to Ehsaas Cash Program then notified by SMS. Then applicant can receive a message from 8171 “Dear applicant take your Original CNIC to nearest Ehsaas Program Center to collect your amount of Rs.12,000.
Step 7:
If an applicant CNIC is not present in such database as mentioned above (NSER) then he/she will receive a text from 8171 “please contact your district administration to enrolled yourself.”
Who are the people not eligible to Ehsaas Cash Programme?

After receiving multiple complaints from citizens of Pakistan about the a message “Contact Your District Administrator” Govt of Pakistan decided to make it online to do it easier for applicants. Dr. Sania announced on April 03, 2020 that we’re going to launch a NADRA based application web-portal to check eligibility of Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program 2020.
She said we’re looking at the problems facing by people and trying to sort it out immediately. That’s why Government of Pakistan decided to launched a Emergency Cash application web-portal to do it easy for them. Futher she added, if applicants increased and proposed amount is not enough to distribue it all of them then a proposal will be presented to the Cabinet to enhance emergency cash grant. It only happens if recieve more than 12 millions responses from the deserving families. Now it enhhances three times more than allocated. By this “Gareeb Awam Dost Ehsaas Scheme” total 80 million people will get benefitted all around the country. She also share here views about the merit system, it is difficult to distribute amount of Rs.12,000 to deserving families in a transparent and just manner.
How many categories are in Ehsaas Emergency Cash Programme?
According to Special Assitant on Poverty Protection Dr. Sania Nishtar, there are total 144 billion amount is fixed for this Ehsaas Program to distributed among 1.2 million families (80 million people). It is therefore, as per huge figures this amount will be disbursed into three categories which targeted to complete within two and a half weeks. The categories in full detail are given as under:
Category 1: These deserving families are already part of Ehsaas Kafalat Program & they’re receiving assistance Rs.3,000 per month from government of Pakistan. So, there data is available in the database of NSER. Dr. Sania said, each family will get benefit of amount Rs.12,000 for mext four months. The total worth of this category is around 4.5 million.
Category 2: If we discuss about this category, the bio-data of many deserving families already existing through various servays like, NSER and etc. So these people will receive total amount of four (4) million.
Category 3: In this category under Ehsaas Cash Program 2020, approx. 3.5 million deserving people get benefited through Ehsaas Program. Before sometime such people’s information doesn’t exist in the database of NSER or NADRA. So they’re registering time by time. This process is taking time and will compelete soon.

When Govt Of Pakistan started to distributed the Ehsaas Program amount among deserving families?
Govt of Pakistan has started the disbursement of Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program on dated April 09, 2020. A press conferrence made after the distribution of Ehsaas Program by Planning Minister Asad Umar. He said, 13 billion rupees have been disbursed among 1.1 million people under Ehsaas Cash Programme so far. As PM Imran Khan said in his press conferrence, the process of awarding cash worth 144 billion rupees to 12 million needy families will be finalized withtin next two and half weeks of this month.
