Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on April 24 in Gulf countries, including Saudi Arabia, but prayers in mosques have been restricted due to the corona virus.

The Saudi government has banned Eid al-Fitr prayers in mosques across the country and appealed to the public to offer prayers at home.

According to Sheikh Dr. Abdul Rehman Al-Sudais, Chief of the Haramin Presidency, the participation of ordinary worshipers for Eid prayers in the Haramin Sharifeen will be suspended and only the staff members of the Haramain Sharifeen will be able to offer prayers.

He further said that public participation in Eid prayers would be suspended to protect the shrines from the plague.
