The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has taken a major decision regarding examinations in universities.
The Higher Education Commission directed the universities to formulate a policy for conducting examinations and share it with the students. The HEC has asked universities to conduct online viva exams to award degrees to final semester students. Without exams, university students will not be promoted to the next semester. The Higher Education Commission has issued instructions to the Vice Chancellors of the universities.
Earlier, a letter was sent by the Registrar Punjab University to the Chairpersons, Deans, Heads and Directors of all departments of all departments. The letter said that no examination will be canceled till the clear instructions of the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan, till then the examination schedule and online classes will continue as usual.
