Inflation rate has been declining for the last three months. According to the statistics of the Department of Statistics, the inflation rate in the country was recorded at 8.5 per cent at the end of April. It was at 10.5 per cent at the end of March. However, the rate of inflation is slightly higher than in April last year. In April 2019, inflation was recorded at 8.3 percent.

According to the statistics department, prices of 14 out of 51 essential items in the country have declined in a month, prices of 17 items have stabilized while prices of the remaining 20 items have increased marginally. Economists expect the SBP to cut interest rates further in the near future due to lower inflation.
محکمہ شماریات کے مطابق ایک ماہ کے دوران ملک میں 51ضروری اشیاء میں سے 14کی قیمتوں میں کمی ،17اشیاء کی قیمتوں میں استحکام جبکہ باقی 20 اشیاء کی قیمتوں میں معمولی اضافہ دیکھا گیا ہے ۔ ماہرین معاشیات نے توقع ظاہر کی ہے کہ مہنگائی کی شرح میں کمی کے باعث مستقبل قریب میں توقع ہے کہ سٹیٹ بینک شرح سود میں مزید کمی کر سکتا ہے ۔

وفاقی محکمہ شماریات جی مطابق مارچ 2020 کے مقابلے میں اپریل کے دوران مہنگائی کی شرح میں 0.8 فیصد کمی واقع ہوئی جب کہ مارچ میں مہنگائی کی شرح 10.2فیصد تھی ۔رپورٹ کے مطابق جولائی تا اپریل 2020 کے ابتدائی 10 ماہ میں مہنگائی کی شرح 11.22فیصد رہی ،ایک سال میں مجموعی طور پر شہری علاقوں میں دال مونگ 101فیصد مہنگی ہوئی ،آلو 92 ،دال ماش 68،فیصد مہنگی ہوئی اسی طرح دال مسور47فیصد مہنگی ہوئی ،انڈوں کی قیمت میں 44فیصد ،پیاز کی قیمت میں 41 فیصد کا اضافہ ہوا ۔

According to the statistics department, during the period under review, the price of dal gram increased by 31%, the price of basin by 29%, the price of sugar by 27%, the price of ghee by 26% and the price of edible oil by 22% in the same year. Wheat prices rose by 17%, flour by 15% and meat by 14%.
محکمہ شماریات کے مطابق زیرتبصرہ مدت میں دال چنا کی قیمت 31فیصد بیسن کی قیمت میں 29 فیصد ،چینی کی قیمت میں 27 فیصد اضافہ ہوا ۔ایک سال میں گھی کی قیمت میں 26 فیصد ،خوردنی تیل کی قیمت میں 22 فیصد کا اضافہ ہوا ۔اسی طرحگندم کی قیمت میں 17 فیصد ،آٹے کی قیمت میں 15 فیصد ،گوشت کی قیمت میں بھی 14فیصد اضافہ ریکارڈ کیا گیا ۔

محکمہ شماریات کی رپورٹ کے مطابق ایک سال میں دواؤں کی قیمتیں بھی13 فیصد مہنگی ہوئیں ، ایک ماہ میں شہری علاقوں میں تازہ پھل 18فیصد اور انڈوں کی قیمتوں میں 15 فیصد کا اضافہ ہوا ۔ علاوہ ازین وفاقی وزیر منصوبہ بندی اسد عمر نے اپنی ٹویٹ میں کہا کہ اپریل کے مہینے میں مہنگائی کی شرح میں نمایاں کمی ہوئی اور مہنگائی کم ہوکر 8.5فیصد ہوگئی گی ۔مہنگائی میں کمی کا یہ تیسرا مسلسل مہینہ ہے ، پچھلے تین ماہ میں سی پی آئی میں 6 فیصد سے زیادہ کی کمی واقع ہوئی ہے ۔ یکم مئی کو پٹرولیم کی قیمتوں میں زبردست کمی ہونے کا بھی فرق پڑے گا اور اس سے مہنگائیبھی مزید کم ہوگی
