JIT formed to probe honor killings of two girls.

North Waziristan police have formed a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the honor killing of two girls.

Accused Ayaz, who made videos with the slain girls and shared them on social media, has been arrested, while police are conducting raids to nab accused Muhammad Aslam, who allegedly killed the girls.

North Waziristan District Police Officer Shafiullah Gandapur told a press conference that he had formed a joint investigation team to probe the murder of two girls on the orders of the IG.

He said that JIT has experienced police officers. According to the DPO, the case has been registered by the police in their complaint. He said the incident was being investigated on scientific lines.

According to the DPO, the accused who made the video and shared it on social media have been arrested while the police are conducting raids to nab the accused Muhammad Aslam who killed the girls. He will also be arrested soon.

He said that the accused Muhammad Aslam who killed the girls is the cousin of the girls while the third girl seen in the video is Aslam’s wife. He is currently hiding somewhere because his life is in danger. Police is also trying to find him.

The two girls, aged 16 and 18, were shot dead.
