Lockdown for wine shops in Sindh during Ramadan, notified by Government of Sindh.

Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Department of Sindh issued a notice to wine shops to be remain closed in the Holy month of Ramadan.

The notification titled “Sale of Liquour by Alternative and Secretive
Arrangements, During Lockdown Period / Holy Month of Ramazan” states, “I am directed to mention the focused subject and to state that all the Wine Shops of the Province are constantly closed with effect from 19 March 2020, furthermore the Holy Month of Ramazan is about to come during which all the wine shops remain locked.”

Some of the specific areas are mentioned in the notice which is properly involved in selling of Liquor which is highly offensive. It war being reported for many days that liquor is being sold out in the specific region even the critical situation of lock down by different hidden means.

According to the commands of Deputy Director for Director General of Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Department Anar Abbas that action will be strict against the officers and licenses if there will be any illegal activity find in the month of Ramazan. He has also warned the shopkeepers to keep their shops closed throughout the month of Ramazan otherwise it will be vulnerable.
