NAB summons Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s brother Zia-ur-Rehman

Peshawar: NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has summoned Zia-ur-Rehman, brother of Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa summoned Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s brother Zia-ur-Rehman on August 25. He is accused of illegal recruitment and corruption among Commissionerate Afghan refugees.

According to NAB Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zia-ur-Rehman has been summoned on charges of embezzlement in procurement of machinery, illegal deployment, promotion and assets in excess of income.

It may be recalled that Zia-ur-Rehman’s services were handed over to the Sindh government by the federation and he was appointed as Deputy Commissioner Central District but then his services were withdrawn.
