Addressing a press conference, Provincial Education Minister Saeed Ghani said that there would be no special examination this year and students who wanted to improve their subjects would be given the opportunity to sit for the examination next year.

Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani has said that this year all students from first to twelfth class have been promoted to the next classes without giving examinations and those who have failed in various subjects will also be given passing marks. Addressing a press conference in Karachi, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani said that there would be no special examination this year and students who wanted to improve their subjects would be given the opportunity to sit for the examination next year.

We have not stopped the opening of private educational institutions, they can open schools from today if they want, but we have closed the teaching process and no school can start the teaching process without the consent and permission of the government. While no date has been given for the opening of the educational institution, we will take a decision only after reviewing the situation and formulating the education policy in the steering committee.

Saeed Ghani said that we had already announced to promote children from 1st to 8th due to corona virus and later to announce promotion to children from 9th to 12th as well as to work out the procedure. For this, a sub-committee of the steering committee of the education department was formed. He said that this committee has formulated its recommendations during two to three meetings and we will convene a meeting of the steering committee of the education department in the next two days and put these recommendations before them.

“As per the recommendations, as we have no record of ninth and eleventh graders, these children will be promoted to the next classes without any marks and when these students will sit for the tenth and twelfth examinations,” he said. And the numbers that will be obtained in it, these numbers will be considered as the numbers of ninth and eleventh.

The provincial education minister said that the children of matric class and 12th class would be promoted to the next classes based on their results in class 9th and tenth and an additional 3% marks would be added to the marks obtained by them. No matter how many papers fail, they will be passed by giving passing marks. He said that no special examination will be held this year and children who want to improve their marks will also be promoted, but if they want, they will be given a chance next year. The same rules will apply to private students.
