Punjab Government Notification of Eid ul Fitr Holidays 2020:
Good news for government employees, Punjab government has announced 6 holidays on Eid-ul-Fitr.
The Punjab government has issued a notification for a six-day holiday on Eid-ul-Fitr. According to the notification, Punjab will have Eid holidays from Friday, May 22 to Thursday, May 27, while amusement parks and cinema halls will be closed during the Eid holidays.
According to the Punjab government, the notification of the federal government regarding Eid holidays was followed. After the approval of the Chief Secretary, the notification of Eid holidays was issued.

In addition, the Punjab government directed the police and administration to prepare a special security plan for Eid. The government directed all DCs and DPOs to tighten security at mosques and imam bargahs.
According to sources, in view of the situation of Corona virus, Juma Tul Mubarak and Eid-ul-Fitr prayer gatherings in Punjab will be under the rules. The Punjab government will issue SOPs for Juma Tul Mubarak and Eid-ul-Fitr prayer gatherings.

On the other hand, the Meteorological Department has predicted the moon of the month of Shawwal. The Meteorological Department says that the moon of Shawwal 1441 AH will start forming on May 22 at 10:40 AM. The chances of seeing the moon on 29th Ramadan ie 23rd May are low, 30th Ramadan 24th May has strong chances of seeing the moon and Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to happen on Monday 25th May.
It may be recalled that the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays were announced by the federal government on May 16, the notification of which was issued by the Interior Ministry. According to the notification, there will be holidays across the country from May 22 to 27. All offices are open during the holidays from Thursday, May 28.
