School Education Department seeks accurate details of approved posts of Heads and Teachers in Schools:
Lahore, Pakistan: An important and new development has come to light regarding the accuracy of the profile of teachers and the number of approved posts in thousands of schools in Punjab.
The School Education Department has asked all the authorities to provide accurate details of the approved posts of Heads and Teachers in the schools. According to the details, the number of registered teachers in Punjab is five lakh and the number of students is one crore and fifty two lakh. The number of registered teachers in Lahore is 25,000 and the number of students is 300,000.

According to sources, there is a difference in the profile of teachers and the number of approved posts in thousands of schools in Punjab, including Lahore. As a result, a letter issued by the school education department said that teachers should immediately contact their school heads and correct their documents and profiles.

Once the information is correct, school principals upload the new data to the School Information website. There should be no mistakes in the names and positions of teachers. Authorities will be required to retain the number of approved posts in the schools after the accuracy of the figures on the school information system.

Director Rana Abdul Qayyum said that action would be taken against the CEOs of the concerned authorities in case of non-compliance with the orders.
