Significant progress in the investigation of the Sugar Mills scandal, anti-corruption

Billions of rupees of non-paying sugar mills across Punjab turned out to be unpaid, anti-corruption collected data of unpaid sugar mills. According to details, anti-corruption in the Sugar Mills scandal has expanded the scope of investigation and collected important evidence and data. According to anti-corruption statistics, sugar mills across Punjab are in arrears of billions of rupees. Farmers from across the province have lodged complaints with the Director General of Anti-Corruption Punjab. According to the data received from the DG Anti-Corruption Cocaine Commissioner Punjab, farmers owe more than Rs 11 billion to mill owners and mill owners from across Punjab are in arrears of Rs 33 billion. DG Anti-Corruption Punjab Muhammad Gohar Nafees says that sugarcane farmers are being exploited the most by sugar mill owners. 

DG Anti-Corruption Punjab says that investigations are underway against the sugar mills and hundreds of complaints are being received daily. Gohar Nafees further said that anti-corruption would put all the facts before the nation after a thorough investigation.
