The anti-privatization government has decided to sell another company. The cowardly government is reluctant to sell the Quaid-e-Azam Solar Par Power Company. According to details, the anti-privatization government has started considering privatization of Quaid-e-Azam Civil Power Company. Recommendations have been sought from the Department of Energy for privatization. ۔

The privatization committee will inform the cabinet of its proposals while the final decision on privatization of the power company will be taken by the cabinet. The Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park project was launched by Shahbaz Sharif to achieve affordable electricity. The project claimed to generate 1000 MW of electricity from solar light. The planners called the project a game changer in power generation. It may be recalled that former Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif had inaugurated the first unit of Quaid-e-Azam Solar Park. This project was not only declared as the largest solar energy project in Pakistan, but was also claimed by a state-owned company called Quaid-e-Azam Solar Power. It is also the world’s largest photovoltaic pilot project.
