The Punjab bureaucracy was divided into two parts

Province one, Chief Minister one and Chief Secretary two, establishment of South Punjab Secretariat, division of powers of bureaucracy also, Chief Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik became Chief Secretary Central and Chief Secretary North Punjab instead of the whole province, powers of Chief Secretary of South Punjab Additional Chief Secretary. South Punjab joined Zahid Zaman.According to details, while the establishment of South Punjab Secretariat will be welcome for the people of the province, the burden of responsibilities on top administrative officers will also be reduced.Chief Secretary Jawad Rafique Malik became Chief Secretary Central and Chief Secretary North Punjab instead of Punjab.

All the secretaries of the departments of Punjab Civil Secretariat will also look after the affairs of half of Punjab. The Additional Chief Secretary South Punjab will be directly under the Chief Minister of Punjab. The Lahore Secretariat cannot issue any order to all district and tehsil administrations, while the Lahore Secretariat still has the power to promote the officers of South Punjab.
