Following the official results of the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly, a notification was also issued regarding reserved seats for technocrats and women.

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz Khan issued a notification regarding 3 reserved seats for technocrats and 6 reserved seats for women.

According to the notification, two of the three technocrats’ seats went to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) while one seat went to the PPP.

The notification said that Akbar Ali and Fazal Rahim of PTI and Ghulam Shehzad of PPP were elected technocrats.

According to the notification, out of 6 reserved seats for women, 4 were won by PTI while one reserved seat was won by PPP and one by PML-N.

PTI’s Kaniz Fatima, Suraya Zaman, Dilshad Bano and Kulsoom Ilyas have been elected to the four reserved seats for women.

According to the official results of the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly, the PTI won 10 seats while six successful independent candidates joined the PTI.

Following the distribution of seats to women and technocrats, the PTI has won 22 seats in the 33-member assembly and is in a position to form a government.
