Ashfaq Younis, president of the Headmasters Association, said that the oppressive policy of student-teacher ratio was to be implemented in the vacant seats.

According to the details, the Headmaster Association Municipal Cadre wrote a letter to the Secretary Education. Ashfaq Younis said that the District Education Authority Lahore has started rejecting the applications of many teachers despite the vacancies in schools. Seats should be vacated from general cadre teachers for cadre adjustment. General Secretary Headmaster Association Municipal Cadrullah Rakha Gujjar said that adjustment teachers have the right for promotion, it is unfair to impose student teacher ratio on them.

It should be noted that the process of verification of eligible candidates for transfer and adjustment has started. Education Authority Lahore has nominated three schools in the city for verification. Documents will be verified at Government Pilot School, Government Model School and Kampiri Hanso School, Wahdat Road. Documents will be verified by November 18. Appointment orders will be issued to certified teachers on November 27.

Earlier, teachers announced a protest against Director Monitoring Rana Abdul Qayyum for poor planning for adjustment of teachers in the school education department. Teachers say that despite 72,000 vacancies in Punjab, hundreds of teachers were not deliberately tagged for adjustment in the next grade.
