The target for admissions in special educational institutions could not be met
Despite awareness campaigns and announcements, enrollment in special children’s institutions could not increase. To increase enrollment, the Department of Special Education has once again launched an enrollment campaign. There are 355,000 students studying in more than 300 special education institutions in the province. Despite providing transport and stipends, the number of admissions did not increase.
The school education department has issued a warning to all the district officers and heads of institutions. Action will be taken against the concerned heads in case of low enrollment. The special education department has directed the school heads to expedite the admission drive immediately.
