The teachers’ protest brought color
The teachers ‘protest came to fruition. The Special Secretary School Education called the teachers’ representatives for talks to get the demands approved.
The protest of teachers in government schools across Punjab brought color. The teachers had protested outside the Civil Secretariat on November 4 to get their demands approved. The Special Secretary School Education called the teachers’ representatives for talks to get their demands approved.
The main demand of teachers is the issue of upgradation while other demands including manual adjustment of teachers and increase in privileges are included. DPI Secondary Education, Elementary Education and Deputy Secretaries Government of Punjab will participate in the talks. Rana Liaqat Ali, Kashif Shehzad and Waheed Murad Yousufi will represent the teachers union in the talks.
It may be recalled that a large number of teachers of the education department had staged a peaceful protest outside the Civil Secretariat on November 4 to get their demands approved. Teachers’ union leaders had urged the government not to upgrade our teachers for a long time. Therefore, immediate upgrade of teachers should be done, the union leaders also said that manual adjustment of teachers should be made, while the union leaders demanded the Punjab government to accept their other demands, they said that until Our demands will not be met.
