Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar has said that the world is slowly getting there which was the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Speaking in the National Assembly, Asad Omar said, “We have to deal with this epidemic. Cases have resurfaced in Wuhan, while the United Kingdom has carried out severe lockdowns and Sweden has carried out targeted lockdowns. In terms of population, there were more deaths than in Sweden.
He said that the world is slowly getting there which was the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan. We have been saying from day one that people have to be saved from economic woes. The rest of the countries have also started easing the lockdown because Began to see what Imran Khan had been seeing for two months.
“We are not ashamed of blindly imitating the West. There are world-class epidemiologists and doctors in Pakistan. Coronatal cases have increased in Pakistan and deaths have increased, but the situation is not out of control,” he said.
It may be recalled that in view of the corona virus in the country, the partial lockdown has been further relaxed due to which the business centers have been fully opened and the social distance and the established code are not being implemented.
On the other hand, the number of deaths due to the deadly virus in the country has reached 822 while the number of infected patients has exceeded 38,000.
