Translation of the Quran was made compulsory for male and female students
Quran translation has been made compulsory for B.Sc. students in UET while 2 members of UET Academic Council opposed the translation of Quran course in this meeting.
According to details, the 223rd meeting of UET Academic Council was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Dr. Mansoor Sarwar. In the meeting, UET Academic Council approved Quran translation course. Following the Chancellor’s instructions, translation of the Qur’an was made compulsory for BSc students in UT.
In addition to the Deans and Heads of Departments, 70 members of the Academic Council also participated in the meeting and expressed their views. He said that translation of Qur’an is an additional burden on the course engineers, which will add to their burden of reading.
Except for 2 members of UET Academic Council, all the other members in the meeting supported the translation of the Qur’an class. It was decided to implement the translation of the Qur’an course with the support of the majority of the members.
