Two-time snooker world champion Muhammad Asif has tried to draw the attention of the government to the fact that people involved in the sport are in a very difficult situation these days, it has become difficult for them to support themselves and their families. Be allowed to start activities.


In a message, Asif called on Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar to open snooker clubs and academies.

“Despite being a world champion, my source of livelihood is the snooker club. People associated with snooker, including me, are in big trouble these days. I and other players rely on this sport. Snooker clubs and academies have been closed for two months due to the corona virus.


He said that the government is giving permission for business as per SOPs, lockdown has been eased, we should also be allowed to open clubs and academies, we are ready to negotiate regarding SOPs. They assure that the government will strictly abide by whatever SOPs give.


World Champion Muhammad Asif said that Prime Minister Imran Khan himself has been a champion, he knows our feelings, we are world champions but we do not get much cash prizes, me and other fellow players have to feed themselves and their children. Therefore, the government is requested to allow the opening of snooker clubs and academies.
