How to Apply for Pakistan Railways Jobs
- Obtain the application form and other relevant information from the Pakistan Railways Police website: www.pakrail.gov.pk or https://pakrailwayspolice.gov.pk.
- Attested copies of educational certificates (identity card, domicile, character certificate along with three passport-size photographs) should be attached. Candidates with incomplete applications, lacking the required documents, will be rejected.
- Application forms may either be submitted post or delivered by hand to the respective Police Line Headquarters. A postal order of PKR 500/- must be made in favor of IGP Pakistan Railways Police Lahore and enrolled with the application sent by post. The candidate should clearly mention his/her computerized national identity card number, address, on the reverse side of the postal order. Applications will be rejected without a postal order.
- The candidates’ height, chest, education, and age will be according to the rules of the Government of Punjab.
- Shortlist candidates only will be called for their written test and interview. Candidates must mention their mobile number and their residential address in their application.
- Candidates passing the physical test will be eligible to sit for the written examination. Those candidates who qualify for the written test have to undergo psychological testing, if deemed necessary, and medically examined for the interview. Qualified candidates for the interview will have to present their original documents, failing which they would be disallowed from appearing for the interview.
- Relaxation in the upper age limit will be granted in terms of government laws pertaining at the pertinent time.
- Recruitment will be done by the District Recruitment Board (DRB) on merit basis according to the provincial quota. The candidate must possess a domicile of Punjab and must not be involved in any illegal activity for recruitment.
- Information regarding the written and physical test (race) will be given through advertisement and individually via mobile phone, telephone, and notice board of Police Line. However, the department will not be responsible if information is not received via mobile phone and telephone.
- Candidates who do not report on time will not be allowed to proceed further. The final selection of successful candidates will be done after the medical examination. The candidates will be informed by SMS during the recruitment process; therefore, the candidates shall keep the mobile phone numbers active at all times. Detection of Hepatitis B-C, AIDS, and any other contagious disease in the medical examination by the medical board will result in disqualification.
- No T.A./D.A. will be given to the candidates for the test and the interview.
- Efforts shall be made for accommodation in the residential colonies to be provided to the recruited candidates, following rules of the department
