An important decision of the federal government to resume educational activities in the country. The federal ministry of education sought suggestions from the provinces on opening schools on a trial basis. The federation also convened an inter-provincial education ministers’ conference on July 2.

According to details, the federal government has taken an important decision to resume educational activities in the country. The letter from the Ministry of Education said that all the provinces should send their proposals and complete plans for opening educational institutions by June 23 and all measures should be taken to keep students and teachers safe from corona. Sources said that the issue of reopening or further closing of schools would be discussed at the conference.

Suggestions have been sought from the concerned authorities including the HEC and the Federal Directorate of Education. Recommendations will be sent to the National Coordinating Committee after the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference and the National Coordinating Committee will make the final decision on opening or closing educational institutions.

On the other hand, the students were upset over the law ministry’s directive to amend the rules. Board officials assured to promote students across the province to the next class as per the policy. The law ministry has directed the education boards to provide matriculation and intermediate classes. He directed to amend the laws on the issue of promotion of students after which a wave of anxiety has spread among the students.
