Government announces Eid-ul-Fitr holidays from May 10 to 15

ISLAMABAD: The National Command and Control Operations Center (NCOC) has announced Eid-ul-Fitr holidays from May 10 to May 15.A meeting of the NCOC was held under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Omar in which the situation of Corona epidemic in the country was reviewed. The NCOC has decided to start corona vaccination for 40-49 year olds from May 3.Flights to Pakistan will be reduced from May 5 to 20 and the decision will be reviewed on May 18. The Civil Aviation Authority will issue detailed orders to reduce international flights.

۔Markets, shops, parks closedThe NCOC further decided that there would be a ban on moon night markets, all markets, shops, businesses would remain closed under the “Stay Home Stay Safe” strategy, and all henna, jewelery and clothing stalls would be completely banned. All amusement parks, public parks, shopping malls will be closed from May 8 to 16, amusement parks and surrounding hotels will also be closed.Food and beverage outlets, medical stores and petrol pumps will remain open on Eid days, while food will be allowed from restaurants.
