The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited applicants interested in taking admission in five-year undergraduate LLB degree programs to apply for the Law Admission Test (LAT).

On April 9, HEC will conduct LAT at selected exam centers across the country. While the last date for LAT applications is March 27.

As the name suggests, LAT is a prerequisite for admission to public and private universities as well as colleges and universities affiliated to them and approved by the HEC and the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC).

Eligibility Criteria to Apply for LAT 2023

Students who have:

• Passed 12-year program with Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or equivalent curriculum.
• Appeared for HSSC or 12th year equivalent final examinations and awaiting results.

How to Apply Online for LAT Test Registration 2023?

Interested parties can submit application through Education Testing Council of HEC (ETC) https://etc.hec.gov.pk/#/login. Applications that are incomplete or not submitted in any other manner will be rejected.

A week before the test, applicants can download their roll number slips from the ETC portal and their emails. Also, HEC will email and SMS the candidates about the test information.

Law Assessment Test Fee to Pay

A Rs 1,800 test fee, which is both non-refundable and non-transferable, must be submitted by the applicant. Customers can deposit the fee at Habib Bank Limited, Branch Code: 1742, Account No. 17427900133401, Account Name: Higher Education Commission.

It is important to note that the price of LAT was Rs. 1,250 last time.

Important Note to Remember

Original copy of paid challan form and original CNIC are required for candidates. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to take the exam.
