Kulbhushan Yadav’s request to appoint a lawyer will be heard today

ISLAMABAD: The appeal of Indian spy Kulbhushan Yadav will be heard in the Islamabad High Court today while no reply has been received from India on the matter so far.

According to Express News, PEMRA has filed a reply in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) regarding media reporting on the government’s request to appoint a lawyer for Indian agent Kulbhushan Yadav. ۔ All channels have been informed about the directive of Islamabad High Court.

During the hearing, Chief Justice Atharmanullah and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb had ordered the court to direct the government to offer India and Kulbhushan as lawyers again. There has been no response to the offer of appointment and third consular access. Reminder letters have been sent to India four times regarding the offer of consular access.


Sources said that after the court order, the Registrar’s Office has also constituted a larger bench in the case of Kulbhushan Yadav. Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb will also join the larger bench.
