In the case of illegal land allotment to American International School, NAB Lahore has started regular work on the inquiry.

The NAB has sought records from the Board of Revenue and the Settlement Commission. According to sources, the allotment of 59 kanals and 2 marlas of land to American International School was done illegally. ۔ The property was not under the jurisdiction of the Board of Revenue as it was owned by an abandoned waqf property.

According to sources, the Board of Revenue sold the land at Rs 600,000 per canal. No open auction was arranged for the transfer and sale of the property. The Disposal of Urban Property 1977 was allegedly used illegally to reward favored persons.

On the other hand, Punjab Education Foundation has released funds of Rs. 1 billion 10 crore to partner schools. These funds will start transferring to the accounts of school owners from today. PAF’s Board of Directors, on the recommendation of partner schools, has dropped out of children, new entrants and children whose verification process has been completed in October 2020 through NADRA.

Rs 1.80 billion has also been sanctioned for the arrears of all these children. As soon as funds are received from the Finance Department, all arrears for January and February 2021 will be paid to the partner schools.
