The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has put forth a fresh advertisement for the hiring of medical professionals. In the Specialized Health Care & Medical Education Department, according to Advertisement No. 51/2026. Candidates applying will have to do so online via the way available on the PPSC site before the closing date specified in the job advertisement. It shall be each candidate’s responsibility to judge himself in the light of the specific requirements for each vacancy in qualification, experience, age, and domicile. The advertisement carries all the essential information to assist candidates in filling out their forms.
Only candidates whose credentials and experience meet the specifications for the job will be considered. The prime requirement is an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification accepted by PMDC/PMC, along with relevant postgraduate qualifications .(FCPS, MS, FRCS, D.Sc, Ph.D., M.Phil.) and teaching experience laid down for each Job. Depending on the position, a number of years of teaching experience and published research work may be required. The candidate is expected to carefully read the advertisement before applying. PMDC/PMC registration must remain valid till the closing date. Only shortlisted candidates will be called for tests/interviews, and no TA/DA will be admissible.

The following positions are available on a regular basis:
Assistant Professor of Gastroenterology: qualification/degree will be an MBBS or equivalent having post-graduate degrees like FCPS/MS/FRCS/MRCP or MD in the particular specialty. Must be registered with PMDC/PMC as a prerequisite. Practical experience at a recognized institution is also mandatory as stated in the advertisement. Eligibility on the above posts would be an MBBS or equivalent along with D.Sc, PhD, M.Phil (Pakistan), or equivalent postgraduate qualifications
Associate Professor Biochemistry (BS-19): This position demands 5 years of teaching experience as Assistant Professor and a minimum of 3 published research articles in a standard medical journal. Alternative experience and qualification criteria will also be mentioned in the advertisement.
