Law Admission Test LAT: For Admission In Five-year Undergraduate LLB Degree Programme. In accordance with instructions from the Honorable Supreme Court via its Order dated March 6, 2018 and Judgement dated August 31, 2018 passed in C.P.134/2012, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) is holding the Law Admission Test (LAT) for applicants desiring to get admission in the five-year undergraduate LLB Degree Programme in any HEC/PBC recognized public or private sector university/institution or any valid affiliate college of Public Sector University.
Who can apply for the LAW Admission Test?
Students who have successfully completed Grade 12 Education or the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or an equivalent.
Students who are awaiting their results after taking the final HSSC or equivalent/Grade 12 Education exam.

Date Of Examination
The date of the LAT is tentatively set for August 4, 2024. Candidates will be informed of any changes to the exam date owing to unforeseen circumstances via http:/etc.hec.gov.pk and http:/hec.gov.pk. A week before to the test date, applicants who register online with HEC will be able to receive their Roll Number Sip from http://etc.hec.gov.pk and via their registered email address. The test date, time, and place will be communicated to registered applicants together with the application for the EmaSMS exam.
In order to get the Roll Number Slips, candidates must enter their legitimate email address or mobile number when completing the online application forms. On test day, a print copy of the roll number slip and the original CNIC will be needed to enter the testing facility. Candidates under the age of eighteen who do not yet have a CNIC are required to produce their original B Form, their original SSC or HSSC certificate, and their original DMC with their photo on it.

Major cities will be the sites of the Test. Any Test/Examination Center may be chosen by applicants from the list provided in the application form.
After registering, the examination location cannot be changed.
How To Register
- To register online, go to http:/etc.hec.gov.pk. If you experience any problems registering online, go to onlinehelp.hec.gov.pk.
- HEC regional offices or the HEC Secretariat for advice.
- There are two stages involved in submitting an application: creating a profile through the “My Profile” section and submitting the application through the “Law Admission Test” link located on the menu panel in the web portal’s left-hand bar.
- Applications in SAVE or INCOMPLETE status will not be accepted; only SUBMITTED applications will be taken into consideration for LAT.
How To Pay Test Fee
- Fees will be paid using the generated consumer number and Link/Bill Invoice payment services.
- Once the fee has been deposited via the 1Link 1Bill invoice, select Verify Online Payment from the ETC Dashboard.
- There are no refunds or transfers for the test fee.
- The applicants have till the web registration system closes to get their questions and grievances addressed.
- The system refuses to handle complaints or queries after the registration deadline for logistical or security-related concerns.
Note: Mandstory is bringing the original CNC passport, HSSC/SSC marksheet, and roll number slip. If not, the applicant won’t be permitted to sit for the test. Take note It is completely forbidden to bring a cell phone, calculator, recording device, or imaging device into the testing center. It is also against the law to upload or share question book photos, and violators will face consequences under the ETC.
