Due to the nation’s current state of peace and order, the Punjab government has extended vacations for schools, colleges, and universities, which will now be closed on May 11 and 12, 2023 (Thursday and Friday).

After Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), was detained by Rangers officers acting against orders from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), protests erupted all throughout the nation.

The PTI Chief was detained in connection with the Al-Qadir Trust case, which asserts that Imran Khan, his wife, and other PTI leaders negotiated a deal between the PTI administration and a real estate magnate that resulted in a loss to the national exchequer of almost £190 billion.

The Government of Punjab has declared two additional holidays for schools, colleges, and universities, which will be closed on May 11 and 12, 2023 (Thursday and Friday), in response to the demonstrations that are occurring in major towns.

Additionally, according to the announcement made by the Higher Education Department of Punjab, the papers for the Secondary School First Annual Examination 2023 (Part-I), which were scheduled to take place on May 11 and 12 (Thursday and Friday), have been rescheduled.

The department hasn’t yet made the revised exam dates public, though.
