Pakistan became the first Asian country to introduce portable MRI

Karachi: Pakistan has become the first Asian country to introduce a portable MRI system. A facility like portable MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) system has been introduced at Aga Khan Hospital.This portable MRI system can be delivered directly to the patient’s head, making it extremely easy to perform MRI on the patient. With the help of a portable MRI machine, it is easy to take pictures of a patient’s brain multiple times. A portable MRI machine can be taken to the head of a patient in a very critical situation.According to a statement issued by Aga Khan University Hospital, Pakistan has become the first country in Asia and the third in the world (including the United States) to have a portable MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) system.
