Pakistan removes UK from travel ban

Karachi: Pakistan has removed Britain from the list of countries banned from traveling.

According to Express News, Civil Aviation (CAA) has issued new SOPs for international flights and chartered flights, while the new SOPs have also released a new list of countries in Category C. SOPs will be operational from April 6 to 20.

According to the new SOPs issued by Civil Aviation, Pakistan has removed the UK from the list of banned countries from C to Category B, 72 hours from the arrival in Pakistan for passengers coming from Category B countries. Earlier, corona test has been declared mandatory. In case of negative corona report, passengers from other countries including UK will be allowed to come to Pakistan in category B.

According to the new SOPs, passengers from Category C countries cannot travel to Pakistan. Category C includes 22 countries, including South Africa, Colombia, Zimbabwe and Ghana.It should be noted that the UK had imposed a travel ban on Pakistan by including it in the red list two days ago.

According to British officials, from April 9, all passengers entering the UK will have to stay in quarantine for ten days, which will also apply to passengers traveling to these countries on transit flights.
