The new schedule for public offices has been released by the federal government in advance of the 2024 Ramadan holy month.

In order to accommodate the staff during the holy month of fasting, which is anticipated to begin on March 12, it has shortened the working hours. The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will decide in the end when Ramadan begins.

Given that the majority of federal offices are located in Islamabad, the updated schedules released by the federal government will mostly apply there.

According to a notification from the Establishment Division, the offices that are open five days a week will be open from Monday through Thursday from 9 am to 3 pm and on Friday from 9 am to 12:30 pm.

Offices that are open six days a week will operate from 9 am to 2 pm, with the same hours on Friday.

The governments of Sindh, Balochistan, and other provinces had earlier announced the updated office hours for the holy month.
