Retirement has become more difficult for teachers

According to details, District Education Authority Lahore has made retirement more complicated for teachers. Now retired teachers will have to submit a complete record of service duration. And nine demand certificates had to be submitted. Now every posting record in 40 years of service has to be submitted.
Teachers say it is not possible to provide all service records. Punjab Education Minister Dr Murad Ross is introducing reforms in the retirement system. The Punjab Teachers Union said that the Education Minister should take notice of the complication of retirement matters. On the other hand, the Education Authority says that service record of employees above grade 16 must be provided.
Earlier, due to lack of interest of district education authorities across the province, pensions could not be issued to hundreds of retired teachers. Pension could be issued on 6th, hundreds of applications were rejected without any justification.
No action has been taken on the applications of 1176 retired teachers while 300 applications have been rejected on completion. Similarly, out of 112 applications in Lahore, 8 have been approved and 86 applications are under consideration. In Lahore, 20 applications have been rejected and 6 have been issued pension. The Director Public Instruction has directed to deal with the applications without any delay.
