Introduction to SSESP Sindh Scholarship

With the objective of connecting the talented students of Sindh province to reputed institutions across Pakistan so that they can continue their post-primary education up to the higher secondary level, Sindh Education Foundation launched its scholarship program “Sindh School Education Scholarship Program” (SSESP), started in 2017.

SSESP is a fully funded scholarship program offered by the School Education and Literacy Department (SE&LD), Government of Sindh, and administered by the Sindh Education Foundation. Scholarship programs enable academically and socially gifted students to find the best prospects for future success and be equipped with imaging techniques that can help them forge their own paths.

Eligibility Criteria for SEF Sindh Scholarship 2023

The main determinants or criteria for selecting scholarship recipients are:

• Applicant must have studied in SE&LD or SEF schools for at least three academic years and be a genuine student there.
• The applicant’s father must be a resident of Sindh.
• The selection of students is based on “Open Merit” and it is necessary to clear the entrance test of the institution.
• Scholarships are awarded to deserving Sindh students when their credentials, such as their GR, school leaving certificate, and attendance record for the last three academic years are verified.

It is important to note that 2247 (2017-19) students are enrolled in the above partner institutions through SSESP, as against Government of Sindh through Sindh Education Foundation.

SEF Sindh 2023 Scholarship Coverage

The average cost per child per month for a scholarship supported by the Foundation is 19,800, which includes all expenses such as:

• boarding & lodging fees,
• tuition fees,
• admission fees,
• monthly stipend PKR. 1,000.
• Uniforms,
• transportation cost,
• shoes, books and other necessary articles for
• the students.

• School Education and Literacy Department, GoS, and Sindh Education Foundation, GoS are inviting applications from deserving students (Residents of Sindh) who are currently enrolled in 8th standard and wish to pursue quality education at NJV Government Higher Secondary School, Karachi. 
• For the academic year 2023-2024, 100 merit-based boarding scholarships are being provided for Class 9 students.
• To be eligible for the scholarship, students must clear the entrance test of M/s Akhot Foundation and fulfill the admission requirements of NJV Government Higher Secondary School.
• Further, document verification will be required.
• Applications from female students are encouraged.
