Lahore: Shaheen Shah Afridi completed 50 wickets in 16 Tests equal to Wasim Akram.

In the Harare Test yesterday, he crossed this milestone by dismissing Tendai Chasuro. Like Shaheen Shah Afridi, Wasim Akram was 21 years old when the wickets were completed. It may be recalled that the Pakistani record for the fastest 50 wickets is held by Yasir Shah. The league spinner had crossed this target in only the 9th Test. The world record holder Australian bowler Charles Turner had completed 50 wickets in just 6 Tests.
