Sindh government recommends federation to stop inter-provincial transport

KARACHI: The Sindh government has recommended the federal government to close inter-provincial transport for two weeks. In this regard, a meeting of the Corona Virus Task Force was held under the chairmanship of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah in which the closure of inter-provincial transport, vaccination of people, closure of schools or not and other issues were discussed.

Provincial Ministers Dr. Azra Fazal Pechoho, Saeed Ghani, Nasir Shah, Murtaza Wahab, Parliamentary Secretary Qasim Siraj Soomro, Chief Secretary Mumtaz Shah, IG Sindh Mushtaq Mehr, Additional Chief Secretary Home Usman Chachar, Secretary School Education Ahmed Bakhsh Narejo, Secretary Treasurer Hassan Naqvi, WHO’s Dr. Paltha Gunarathana and Dr. Sara, Dr. Bari, Dr. Faisal, Corps 5 Rangers officers and representatives of other organizations were present. The meeting was informed that from March 26 to April 1, 2021, the positive rate of corona virus was recorded at 4.63% in Karachi, 5% in Hyderabad and 1.5% in the rest of Sindh.
