KARACHI: Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman, Chairman Central Route Hilal Committee, has said regarding Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry that we are bound by Shariat and Fawad Chaudhry has no status.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting of the Hilal Committee, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman said that Fawad Chaudhry has no status because we are bound by Shariah, he should not interfere in religion and demanded from the Prime Minister of Pakistan that Fawad Chaudhry should interfere.

He said that Fawad Chaudhry had asked people to pay attention to sending him to the moon and a month ago he had asked them to make world class ventilators.

Mufti Muneeb said that the federal minister has some frustrations and disappointments so don’t target religion for this, we strongly condemn Fawad Chaudhry for interfering in religion.

He further said that it is not known what problems the government has, some in the cabinet are facing west, some are facing east and some are facing north. Fawad Chaudhry should be banned from confining himself to his ministry.

It may be recalled that Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry had said in a press conference that the moon of Eid-ul-Fitr would be clearly visible through binoculars after sunset today and Eid would be celebrated in the country on May 24.
