Riyadh: The moon of Shawwal has not been seen in Saudi Arabia, 30 fasts will be completed in the kingdom on Saturday and Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, May 24.

According to Arab media reports, Saudi officials have confirmed that Shawwal Kachand has not been seen in Saudi Arabia, after which Eid al-Fitr will be celebrated on Sunday, May 24.

The Saudi Supreme Court today appealed to citizens to report evidence of moon sightings, but no evidence of moon sightings has emerged.

In addition, Qatar, Indonesia, Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey did not see the Shawwal moon.

The Central Route Hilal Committee will meet in Karachi on Saturday to observe the Shawwal moon in Pakistan. Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has already claimed that Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated all over the world, including Pakistan, on Sunday, May 24.
