The Prime Minister started to distribute Ehsaas Labour Cash Rs 12,000 each to the unemployed:

Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched Ehsaas Emergency Cash Labour Program Second Phase Payment distribution

Isalamabad, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan has launched Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program for those who lost their jobs due to lockdown.

The official launch ceremony of Ehsaas Emergency Cash Program for the unemployed was held in Islamabad in which the Prime Minister started distributing financial assistance of Rs. 12,000 each to the beneficiaries. On the occasion, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister for Social Security Dr. Sania Nishtar briefed the Prime Minister.

Dr. Sania Nishtar said that more than Rs. 3 billion has been deposited for the Prime Minister’s Coronary Relief Fund so far. On the direction of the Prime Minister, the government will add Rs. 4 to the fund in exchange for Rs.1.

It is to be noted that the registration of the unemployed due to the lockdown is being done on the website of Ehsaas program and after verification of the data, Rs. 12,000 per person is being paid. Besides, during the lockdown The Ehsas Emergency Cash Program has so far distributed Rs. 104.91 billion to more than 8.619 million people across the country.
