Preparations are being made to reopen the universities which were closed due to the deadly epidemic Corona. In this regard, the Punjab government has prepared recommendations for reopening the universities conditionally.
According to details, preparations are being made to reopen government universities across the province, including Lahore, which were closed due to Corona. In this regard, the Punjab government has made recommendations for conditional reopening of universities. The Vice Chancellors of the universities were consulted before opening the universities, after which it was decided that the universities would be opened in phases from the first week of August, with final semester classes to be held in the first phase.
When Will Universities Reopen In Pakistan
In addition, final semester students of BS, Masters, M.Phil and Ph.D. will be allowed. The rest of the students will also be allowed in the second phase. The method of testing for new admissions in medical, engineering and management will be at the discretion of the university. The Vice-Chancellors have agreed to reopen the university.
The University may conduct online or in-campus tests as per its convenience, but compulsory importation of SOPs will be made in the Universities, the Vice Chancellor will prepare SOPs for the Universities of Health Sciences.

In this regard, a meeting will be held next week under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood, in which it will be further decided that universities with Verona SOPs in mind will be reopened and SOPs will be strictly implemented. It may be recalled that a meeting of the Syndicate was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Niaz Ahmed to discuss the recommendations of the budget of Punjab University for the financial year 2019-20 in which the Syndicate recommended the approval of a budget of Rs. 9.39 billion to the Senate, the budget increased research grants to increase research activities and subsidies to reduce the financial burden of students.

Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Teachers will continue. Punjab University will provide scholarships worth Rs. 152 million to students.
