Eligibility, Age and Domicile
- Domicile: only candidates holding Punjab domicile are eligible.
- Age relaxation: 5 years for men and 8 years for women in the upper age limit (Government of Punjab S&GAD notification dated 08-08-2016). Example: a woman applying for Research Assistant (max 25) can be up to 33.
- In-service candidates: apply through proper channel after getting a Departmental Permission Certificate / NOC, and show it at the interview if short-listed.

What the Punjab Portal Shows (Checked 29 October 2026)
The Punjab Job Portal has a department called “Project Management Unit Shrimp Aquaculture”. The project name on those pages is “Establishment of Shrimp Farms at Rakh Ali Wali Muzaffargarh and Establishment of Shrimp Estate with Value Chain at 58 NB Sargodha”. Posts were uploaded on 28-10-2026 with last date 13-11-2026, which matches the newspaper ad.
But the numbers are not identical. For example, the portal lists Tractor Operator (Muzaffargarh) as 2 posts, salary band Rs 45,000–50,000, age 18–35; Drone Operator as 1 post, Rs 50,000–55,000, age 18–30; some pages are listed under Sargodha. So the portal appears to carry posts from the same recruitment drive but is not a line-by-line copy of this ad. Use the newspaper table above as the advertised terms, and read the portal page of your post before you apply. If both differ, ask the office on 042-992115-84.
About the project: according to the department, shrimp farming in Punjab began in 2024 with a pilot of 100 acres in Muzaffargarh on saline and barren land, and the government then launched a 2024–2028 programme covering research, farmer training, hatcheries, feed production, processing and quality control.
