How to Apply, Step by Step
Match your degree with the table above and the HEC criteria. Lecturers: MS / MPhil / MSc (Hons). Associate Professors: Doctorate plus 5 years.
Go to careers.aiou.edu.pk, open Current Openings and select the advertisement Academic Oct-2026.
Create your own account with your email and a password (do this yourself; never share your password). Fill the online profile: personal data, education, experience and publications.
Open the job and click Apply. Associate Professors should also add the extra CV information from the AIOU CV template link shown on the job page (it opens only after login).
Download the challan form from the portal, pay Rs 1,500 (BPS-18) or Rs 5,000 (BPS-20) at the bank and keep the original.
Upload the documents and the paid challan, check all information (it is treated as final) and submit before 30 November 2026.
Send the hard copy dossier to the Registrar (see below) so that it reaches before the cutoff date.
Associate Professor: Hard Copy Dossier
Under point (iv) of the ad, Associate Professor candidates must apply online first and then send:
- 4 sets in binding form and 1 soft copy (CD/USB) in PDF format
- Attested copies of academic documents and research articles
- Relevant documentary testimonials: conference papers and the number of students supervised at MPhil and PhD level
- Details of research grants / projects and community development / social responsibility work
- The paid original bank challan
The hard and soft copies must reach “the undersigned” (the Registrar) on or before the cutoff date.
